Promotional DVDs month part 1

This month, i'll be blogging on these promotional DVDs from TV Channels/Magazines.

I previously blogged about two Cartoon Network DVDs, and i have a collection of other DVDs to show:

1st up are these DVDs from NickToons!

Before the renaming of NickToons TV and the existence of Fairly Odd Parents, KFC gave out free DVDs with kids meals (or seperately for approx £1.00). only two were made and mainly featured the 4 main shows: Rocket Power, Spongebob Squarepants, Rugrats and Jimmy Neutron.

Each Disc contained a 10min episode from each show. Although disc two has instead a 5min Spongebob episode. Trailers for Spongebob, Rugrats, All Grown Up and the channel itself played straight at the beginning of the disc, are can be accessed as extras.

Discs featured are as followed:

Disc 1
Spongebob - Bubblestand
Jimmy Neutron - Trading Faces
Rugrats - The Trial
Rocket Power - Shark Bait

Disc 2
Spongebob - Gary takes a Bath
Jimmy Neutron - Hall Monster
Rugrats - Chuckie is Rich
Rocket Power - Bruised Man's Curve

Recently in the news, Wayne Allwine died. whih means Mickey Mouse is voiceless...again.

So good luck to disney finding a new voice, and here's trbute to Mickey with the straight-to-VHS special, Mickey's Magical World!

You know, to my mind, i would prefer Mickey Mouse Works to the updated House of Mouse series. although, HoM consisted good animation with well known characters, the shorts shown from it are best seen from MMW! another thing why MMW is better is that HoM squeezes the begining and ending and even spoils it with an cheering audience sound effect.

Thanks to the boffins from Disney DVD, a few Mickey shorts was added on "Mickey's Laugh Factory", whilst Donald Duck shorts became an extra on The Chronological Donald Duck: Volume Four.

So, here is one short, Bird Brained Donald, which brings the return of Disney's brilliant and possible Daffy Duck/Woody Woodpecker copycat.

And, here is the theme tune, one of them being an instrumental version (literally, no voices effects)

News for 2009 just in that our old friend, the Pink Panther returns with a blast from his past!
Suprisingly enough, not only is the Ant, Aardvark and Inspector appearing in it but the horse from a few episodes stars in the show as well. The girl on the left is a mystery! i'm keeping an eye on this and hope it does NOT air on that crappy Cartoonito channel.

I used to like Movie Sequels (until the crappy Straight-to-Video Disney films came out) such as American Tail! although the 3rd and ongoing films were little downhill, Fievel goes West had a well funny scene with Tiger and DOGS!!!

Recently, Warner Bros US have used The Wizard of OZ as a spot for DVD Piracy on their DVDs.
Take a look:

Personally, it would've been better with a parodised ending or something else to really make sense about DVD Piracy!

The IT Crowd's spoof ad is more pleasing than Warner Bros. (not suitable for under 16)

Broadway Musicals spoil good films

i was helping someone pick an idea for a musical, and suggested Alice in Wonderland. There happened to be a Juniors version of the Disney film (which i found horrible)! somehow, Zip a Dee Doo Dah from Song of the South is on there and Golden Afternoon became an Amercian disco tune, with complete change of lyrics.
To show you what i mean, here's the original:

Now compare the song with the Broadway Juniors version. i think this song from it tells how bad the Golden Afternoon is!

Oops! Been months since the last post.

Here's an episode of DangerMouse i found on a Recorded VHS.

In this odd ep, DangerMouse finds out on a map that some certain countries have swapped places. So he and Penfold go to the village of King Otto. Meanwhile, Greenback knows this because of a swapping stone. This means when DM and Penfold cross passed the stone... (well you get the idea).

So, who's who after this (in order):

Dangermouse = Penfold

Penfold = Dangermouse

King Otto = Princess (someoddname)

Princess (someoddname) = King Otto

Greenback = Stilletto

Stilletto = Greenback

But then:

Stilleto (Greenback) = Dangermouse (Penfold)

Dangermouse (Penfold) = Stilleto (Greenback)

Penfold (Dangermouse) = Greenback (Stilleto)

Greenback (Stilleto) = Penfold (Dangermouse)

It looked funny when the last two happened.

It's Completely Crazy, Leaving Greenback and Penfold back to Normal.

What was DM thinking? Penfold as a woman???

Oh and the narrator is somehow Penfold!

If you were lucky to find this disc inside your PS1 with the case shown below...

Then you're not the only one!
This brings back memories since i first had it!
To start was the cool introduction with the wickid music! Here's the RARE Youtube find!

Then there's the selection! the only menus are Games and Videos which has a Underwater theme with Manta-Rays, Seahorses, etc.
Anyways, the Videos included are:
